AppleChider was created on May 20th, 2011, after the previous domain name of mine expired. If you haven’t noticed, it is a play on the two words, Apple Cider. Apple cider is my favorite drink during the cold Canadian winters, and I thought of this blog’s name during an instant moment of sudden creativity – which, does not happen that often for me. There are no spaces between the two words; a mere capital of the ‘C’ in ‘Chider’ is used to distinguish the two words.
Meaning
Apple: Round fruit of the ‘rose family’ in the genus, Malus.
Chider: Noun; A harasser, a scolder, a critic
